Uncovering Internalized Racism on the Journey to Reclaiming Racial Identity
Judith Lam Tang’s forthcoming narrative nonfiction book MUTED COLOURS explores internalized racism and its impact on identity, belonging, and self-worth through the personal stories of fourteen racialized women. This book equips readers with the language, insight, and concrete tools needed to identify and dismantle implicit biases—both in themselves and in the systems around them. With self-reflection exercises and actionable strategies woven throughout, the book provides a fresh, urgently needed framework for understanding racial identity, privilege, and solidarity.
Coming January 12, 2027 from Dundurn Press.
